Selena
She was a performer, designer and a music pioneer. She was a contemporary and traditional a Mexican-American singer who brought together the two genres with a unique approach. She also brought amazing Tejano music to an affluent audience. In the same way that there are many who mourn a superstar who passed away from their prime, the death of her was not a good time and ended a growing career. Fans are enthused over through the years to dig to work even more to ensure that her achievements will not be forgotten. Her tragic death in a shooting triggered a response in the Latino Community that was comparable as the reaction to deaths of Elvis Presley or John Lennon. Selena was a hugely loved singer by Latinos throughout North America. But her music was a hit with both the young and old. Selena might have been described by some as the Latina Madonna, but she's still an excellent role model. Selena's off-stage family values as well as her involvement in AIDS awareness efforts are exemplary.
