Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. In October of 2016 Ari Lennox dropped her debut EP Pho. The EP was where she gained recognition. The album that she released as her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded her music on the internet in 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography as well as her debut mixtape in 2013, Five Finger Discount. Ari Lennox continued to post her music online including her independent single Bound. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes and in Sweat It Out July 21st in 2015. J. Cole had her send her songs for the Dreamville Team in the following year, as he wanted Rihanna to be able work together on a few references.
